Supporting our communities
PVS Workfind shares a vision to build better communities through engagement, training, placement and support. Our supported placement model is underpinned by the drive to ensure all job seekers have the opportunity to economically, psychologically and socially engage with their community.
Each PVS Workfind office has long established, close working relationships with a wide range of community organisations providing services such as youth support, training for new migrants, counselling, literacy training, refugee settlement support, advocacy and legal advice and financial services. We meet the needs of job seekers by offering practical, community based solutions to eliminate barriers to employment.
Our offices regularly host community support services and skills training organisations to deliver their services at our premises. Each PVS Workfind office has a Community Corner, a space for community service providers to advertise their services via posters and flyers and meet with mutual customers.
We actively participate in pre-release prisoner programs for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, and provide specific job search support services, assistance to register with Centrelink, access to accommodation support and help to find employment.
