Job Seekers

Our role at PVS Workfind is to guide, assist and support job seekers in their journey to work, which can sometimes be challenging.
We pride ourselves on working closely with job seekers to not only assist them with job searching and interview skills to find employment, but to also ensure they have the necessary tools and support required to succeed in the role. We offer customised programs for each job seeker to overcome any identified barriers to work.
We have considerable knowledge and expertise in the provision of employment related services to help the following job seekers:
- work ready job seekers
- youth who are not in education, training or work
- parents
- migrants, culturally and linguistically diverse job seekers and refugees with little or no English skills
- mature aged job seekers
- Indigenous Australians
- people with reduced capacity due to physical and mental health issues
- highly disadvantaged individuals
- very long term unemployed job seekers
- homeless people
We use a number of strategies to find employment for job seekers including:
- identifying local labour market needs and skill shortages
- assessing job seeker skills against local labour market needs
- vocational and non-vocational training requirements
- assistance to gain relevant work experience
- job placement and job re-design
- mentoring and intensive post placement support
To provide a holistic service to job seekers to meet their needs and ensure we achieve sustainable employment outcomes, we take a collaborative approach by liaising with community agencies, not for profit service providers, government and non-government organisations.
